The H2 Mobility Switzerland Association is setting itself the goal of establishing a nationwide network of hydrogen filling stations across Switzerland.
In May 2018, Agrola AG, AVIA Association, Coop, Coop Mineraloel AG, the fenaco cooperative, Migrol AG and the Federation of Migros Cooperatives founded the association as a joint platform specifically in order to promote and accelerate the establishment of hydrogen mobility in Switzerland. By supporting this sustainable form of electro-mobility, they are making an important contribution towards achieving CO2 targets for road transport. SOCAR Energy Switzerland GmbH affiliated itself with the association in June 2018. The Emil Frey Group and Shell joined the association in October 2018, Galliker Transport & Logistics in March 2019, Camion Transport, G. Leclerc Transport, F. Murpf and Tamoil in May 2019. In August 2019, Chr. Cavegn AG and Emmi Schweiz AG joined and in 2020 Schöni Transport AG, Gebrüder Weiss AG, Streck Transport AG and von Bergen SA.
H2 MOBILITY SWITZERLAND
Hydrogen mobility affords all the prerequisites for sustainably reducing road traffic CO2 emissions and supporting the agenda of the energy revolution. In Switzerland, mobility using the closed hydrological cycle has been successfully operating since November 2016 in the form of a globally renowned solution.
The next step involves the nationwide expansion of the technology, which combines all the benefits of emission-free electric vehicles with the convenience of current road transport mobility.
ASSOCIATION
Switzerland has filling station operators, transport and logistics companies, businesses with vehicle fleets, renewable resources, purchasing power, a positive attitude to start-ups and, notably, also the pioneering spirit to introduce hydrogen mobility on a commercial basis.
The H2 Mobility Switzerland Association is providing and organizing the platform in order to actively bring this impressive technology onto Swiss roads in the very near future.
FUTURE
Hydrogen-based electrical drive systems have gained a substantial market share in many different countries. The hydrogen is obtained from renewable energy and helps to de-carbonize transport. Its applications include passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles and buses. Hydrogen is a commonplace fuel and the intention is to provide it at the majority of filling stations.
The future has already begun. Be inspired by the hydrogen mobility of tomorrow and beyond.
